hello! hello!

Growing up I always believed I would be a writer. I would tell fantastical stories, show the world what could be through words.

I ended up doing it through photographs. Different medium, much more story.

To me, you are the story, and there is nothing more powerful than capturing a moment of joy. I adore shooting weddings-- I sometimes feel that your wedding day is more important to me than it is to you. Obviously that’s not the case, but I really care that much. Every detail, every moment.

I have a modern journalistic style that allows the story of your wedding to be told, rather than just some formal photos to document the day (of course those are important too).

I love shooting families, babies, engagements, & just every day life as well.

I like to think that I still write stories. Just more
vividly than ever before.

This was a very special engagement session because Becky is one of my closest friends and Adam is family. Adam is my husband Clayton’s first cousin. But that makes me a cousin too, right? So when Adam and Becky got engaged we could not have been more excited!! It was such a fun day! It was also Daylight Savings, so we were quite literally chasing the sun. But we did it– puppy Charlie & all. Can’t wait for their wedding next fall! (But I won’t be shooting it– my sister will. Because I have other duties.)
