I have been so excited to share this Armour House Wedding from last summer that I just couldn’t wait anymore… Kelly + Matthew get to jump the line a bit. The Armour House in the Chicago suburbs is a historic site for a timeless wedding. Located on the Lake Forest Academy campus, it’s an absolute dream of a location. It feels European in its architecture and immaculately style grounds. There are photo opportunities every direction you look, and I was so lucky to get a sun-filled day for this wedding.
The Bride and Groom
The day started at Kelly’s childhood home. She had planned out every detail, and the getting ready was full of activity. The blue hydrangea theme was carefully intertwined everywhere, and Kelly’s friends and family were so joy-filled. It was one of those wedding days that truly energizes you. And I was so lucky to have one of my favorite second shooters and good friends, Moira, by my side!
Armour House Wedding
After a lovely mass, we arrived on the grounds of the Armour House for the photos and the reception. I could not get enough of the cocktail hour and the decor of this incredible building and grounds. Kelly and Matthew met playing soccer, and they were surrounded by teammates and coaches. Their wedding had been a long time coming and it was so special to witness the joy from both sides of the family, and everyone in attendance.
