It happened, you guys. I got to shoot a Crystal Lake Yacht Club wedding on the shores of Crystal Lake in my summer community of Frankfort, Michigan. It was a year and a half ago now, but give a girl a break. I’ve been raising two little kiddos and moving all over the country, just for fun. But the day is here- I’m finally sharing Elissa + Ethan’s beautiful summer wedding, from August 2022.
Crystal Lake Yacht Club Wedding
The Crystal Lake Yacht Club, fondly called the CLYC, is located on the most beautiful lake in the world. And no, I’m not biased. Crystal Lake really is the most perfect place on this planet. Ask anyone who has been there. I actually grew up watching my sister compete in sailboat races at this very yacht club. And my mom competed there when she was a teenager! The venue is beautiful- it’s a very laid back, casual yacht club, and it has a rustic feel. Weddings at the CLYC are usually held under a tent in the parking lot- but it doesn’t feel like a parking lot with the stunning lake views and gorgeous deck for cocktails and hanging.
The Details
Elissa + Ethan surrounded themselves with amazing vendors for their Crystal Lake Yacht Club wedding. Fox & Fern Events pulled everything off without a hitch– and the florals provided by Bittersweet & Co were coral and seaside perfection. Guests enjoyed cocktails on the deck, and danced the night away under lanterns in the tent.
