Throwing it back to last fall on the blog today! Bree reached out to me last year about shooting her and Jarod’s engagement pictures. They were planning a wedding closer to her childhood home (Pennsylvania!) but wanted to get their engagement photos done in Chicago- where they lived and fell in love. A Lincoln Park fall engagement session seemed like a perfect match. We planned on hitting up the iconic Lincoln Park spots, like the bridge over South Pond, and the Honeycomb, and then heading to Fullerton Beach Park to grab some city skyline photos!
Lincoln Park Fall Engagement
Lincoln Park is always a good idea, but especially during peak foliage- and Bree and Jarod lucked out with that! The light was perfect and the trees were perfect. And these two are quite literally the most lovely people. It was such a pleasant afternoon to spend wandering the beautiful foliage and chatting.
Fullerton Beach
Fullerton Beach, which is right by Theater on the Lake, is one of my favorite “hidden gem” spots for engagement photos in Chicago. It provides very similar backgrounds to North Ave Beach, with much less chaos (and way fewer photoshoots happening!).
It was definitely a windy, chilly, fall day, but we took advantage of the waves crashing and wind blowing to create some really special moments.
