Hi friends! For today’s blog post (yes, I’m pretending I blog on a regular basis, go with it) we are gonna check out a Petoskey Michigan Engagement session from last summer. Megan & Matt are getting married in June 2025 in Illinois, but similar to myself, they have a family summer home in Northern Michigan. So this past summer when we all overlapped in our summer cottages, we got together to take their engagement pictures on the coast of Lake Michigan.
Petoskey Brewing Company
We started the shoot at Petoskey Brewing Company– one of their favorite places to relax and hang, local to their family cottage. It was a blast to listen to the live music and sip some beer, and it was also an excellent way to help loosen up for photos!
Petoskey Michigan Engagement
Then we drove over to Petoskey State Park- which was literally a 4 minute drive from the brewery. A confession- I’ve been going Up North in Michigan for, well, several decades. (No need to talk about how old I am…) And I had never been to Petoskey State Park. It is STUNNING and so worth a trip if you haven’t been either. The dunes are epic, and the lakeside is pristine and pretty empty, which is perfect for a Petoskey Michigan Engagement session.
Thank you, Megan and Matt, for trusting my vision, laughing, running, and giggling along the shores of our beautiful Lake Michigan. Nothing fills my cup quite as much as seeing clients in their true element (especially when it aligns so perfectly with my own).
